TIL Logistics Group, has made the decision to re-sign with telematics provider, upgrading its fleet to contain the newer Ehubo2 iteration of the technology.
TIL Logistics CEO Alan Pearson said the company was using its contract renewal with Eroad to ensure all its fleets are equipped with the latest technology that Eroad can provide.
“Looking after our people as well as our customers is at the heart of how we operate. Eroad’s second-generation driver support, vehicle monitoring, and other health and safety services are an important part of this,” he says.
Pearson says TILs contract with Eroad will see the company upgrade systems across the company’s 2000 vehicles.
Health and safety regulations emphasising chain of responsibility meant that operators needed to know with much greater certainty what was occurring in these work environments, and Eroad’s services enabled both better support to drivers and more transparent accountability and compliance, says Pearson.
Eroad’s chief executive Steven Newman said the company was delighted to extend its partnership of six years with TIL Logistics Group and to further enhance services to its fleets.
Mr Newman said that the regulatory telematics space continued to evolve rapidly. Regulatory compliance would increasingly rely upon electronic services and digital communication,” he said.
“The move from paper-based checks and monitoring to more reliable and easier to manage electronic systems is at the heart of this.”
