There will be the usual prime mover and alternative energy star attractions when the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show opens on May 15, but the important volume-selling show debutant is expected to be the new generation Isuzu F-Series line-up.

Following a string of recent soft launch and preview events in Australia for VIP fleets, suppliers and key partners, the all-new MY25 F Series medium-duty range will be in the public spotlight at the Brisbane show. The first examples are expected in the New Zealand market during the second half of 2025.

Models spanning a versatile GVM range of 11 to 26 tonnes encompass an array of engine, transmission, suspension and wheelbase variants while the visual appeal is boosted by a new cab design incorporating a bold grille, a new, full LED lighting package (including daytime running lamps and LED interiors) plus a newly engineered bumper.

FRR and FSR models have the headlamps integrated into the cab, while the larger FV and F Series 4x4 models receive bumper-mounted lamps completing a sleek look.

A major emphasis for the MY 25 F Series programme has been enhanced safety for operators and other road users.

A new safety suite delivers the single largest leap forward in safety in the history of the Isuzu brand, adding a slew of active safety features to Isuzu’s evolved and improved Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) offering.

Every model across the line-up, including popular 4x4 models, benefit from a comprehensive baseline safety suite containing up to 12 active and passive systems.

The active safety system is informed by Isuzu’s ADAS camera technology, which is now mounted low on the windscreen. On all variants, it is combined with a long-range milli-wave radar located in the centre of the bumper bar.

The ADAS camera functions include Lane Departure Warning, Attention Assist Warning, Traffic Movement Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition with Intelligent Speed Limiter and Adaptive Driving Beam (except 4x4 models).

Combined functions of the ADAS camera and millimetre radar are Distance Warning System, Advanced Emergency Brake system a full-speed Adaptive Cruise Control (excluding manual transmission and 4x4 models).

A raft of cabin comfort updates have been made across every model with an ISRI 6860/875 NTS2 climate seat, a new steering wheel with integrated controls and switches and a large driver’s multi-info display.

Another headline for the F Series line-up is the introduction of a new 6.7-litre Isuzu DB6A engine – co-developed with Cummins.

Built in Isuzu’s Tochigi Engine Plant in Japan and available in 260PS (191kW) and 300PS (221kW) ratings, this unique Isuzu collaboration eliminates the need for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), meaning fewer maintenance requirements, improved combustion efficiency, and fuel economy.

Both engine variants are mated exclusively with Allison 6-speed Gen Six automatic transmissions and meet Euro-VI emissions standards via a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Diesel Particulate Diffuser (DPD) combination.
