Scania Delivers 12 High-Capacity Trucks to Mainstream in Landmark Fleet Investment
Posted: 25-Jun-2026 |
Scania is proud to announce the delivery of 12 new trucks to Mainstream, part of an ongoing expansion and replacement program amounting to over 30 new linehaul units currently underway between Mainstream and Scania. This is a significant commitment to growing their current company owned fleet with the existing fleet currently in operation.
Mainstream continues to benefit from Scania’s customer-focused approach, with Scania working alongside the business to deliver a complete transport solution tailored to its operational needs. This support extends well beyond the vehicle itself, through Scania Assurance, a comprehensive repair and maintenance contract designed to maximise uptime and provide long-term peace of mind. Combined with in-cab driver training, access to Scania’s fleet management portal, and driver support apps, the partnership ensures Mainstream receives ongoing support, improved efficiency, and expert guidance throughout the full life of its vehicles.
The new fleet is paired with state of the art Fruehauf manufactured trailers, a partner of Mainstream for over 20 years. The latest iteration of Fruehauf | Mainstream designed trailers continues on the lineage of those before them – squeezing every possible inch of capacity for these new units in the never ending search for higher road freight productivity. This collaboration has resulted trailers that both Mainstream and Fruehauf believe that offer the highest cubic meter capacity currently available on the market, enabling Mainstream to maximise efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of performance.
Adding a unique and personal touch to the fleet, Mainstream’s female employees take part in naming each truck, reflecting the company’s inclusive culture and strong sense of team identity. This tradition not only celebrates the contribution of women within the organisation but also reinforces the human connection behind Mainstream’s operations.
“These new trucks represent a statement of our commitment to our future. As a business, Mainstream is looking to build a network that is based on the highest achievable level of productivity and the need to be flexible. We are confident in our direction, and the delivery of these company owned units represents that confidence” says Cameron – National Manager.
Meanwhile, Jeff Mear from Fruehauf says “We have a long relationship with Mainstream that has lasted over 20 years. We have worked with both the Scania and Mainstream team to deliver these new units, which are not only build to our highest standards, but also have the highest cubic capacity in the market”.
Victor Carvalho of Scania highlighted the importance of the collaboration, noting the alignment between the companies shared values and ambitions. “We value the long-term relationships with our customers – this delivery represents collaboration and the need to work together to resolve issues and overcoming challenges, bringing the best solution for Mainstream”.
Meanwhile, Mainstream emphasised the strategic importance of the investment in supporting future growth and operational efficiency. Fruehauf also underscored the strength of its two-decade partnership with Mainstream, built on trust, innovation, and consistent delivery of highperformance truck and trailer solutions.
This latest delivery reinforces the strong collaboration between Scania, Mainstream, and Fruehauf—three organisations committed to pushing the boundaries of transport efficiency while keeping people at the heart of their operations.
