Linfox welcomed organisations from across the industry to their Auckland distribution centre for the second Road Freight Decarbonisation Update, hosted by Ia Ara Aotearoa Transporting New Zealand. 

The Volvo FM Electric Truck, recently announced as one of the range of Heavy Electric Trucks that won International Truck of the Year 2027, was on display at the meeting. Alongside Linfox, key industry leaders discussed practical solutions to accelerate progress and learn more about the technology, infrastructure and collaboration needed to scale fleet decarbonisation. EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) provided an update on the assistance available to help freight operators invest in low and zero-emission heavy vehicles. 

Linfox shared their sustainability journey in Australia and highlighted their continued investment in fleet electrification in New Zealand, which includes introducing the first Australian-manufactured Volvo Heavy Electric Truck in New Zealand from the Volvo Trucks Australia manufacturing facility in Brisbane.
