Three week on-ramp night closure planned – State Highway 1, Churton Park

Churton Park residents wanting to use State Highway 1 at night will have to take a different route to the highway next month.

Three-weeks of night closures for the Churton Park on-ramp are planned, beginning Sunday, 6 July and ending Friday, 25 July. The on-ramp will be open during the day.

Weather permitting, the southbound on-ramp from Churton Park onto State Highway 1 will be closed Sunday to Thursday nights, between 9 pm and 4 am.

The next steps in making State Highway 1 safer on the Kāpiti Coast are underway. Construction has begun on a new Commercial Vehicle Safety Centre (CVSC) on State Highway 59 between the Mackays Crossing and Paekākāriki interchanges.
